American Airlines recently sent a letter to congressional leaders expressing its support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). As the LGBT community continues to gain mainstream cultural acceptance, more and more businesses are learning that supporting LGBT inclusiveness in the workplace is both a sound business and moral decision.
American Airlines has been at the forefront of this movement, earning a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Equality index every year since 2002. The letter continues the support American Airlines first showed for ENDA in 2008, saying “The principles fostered by ENDA are consistent with our corporate principles in treating all employees with fairness and respect.”
